Irene's practice is focused on expropriation law for both landowners and expropriating public authorities. She assists municipalities in carrying out land acquisition programs.
Irene received her Juris Doctor degree from Queen's University. Before joining SOK, Irene was an associate at a litigation boutique in Toronto.
At Queen's, Irene strengthened her advocacy skills while volunteering with the Community Advocacy & Legal Centre in Belleville and by acting as a student caseworker at the Queen's Business Law Clinic and Queen's Legal Aid. She was a Senior Editor of the Queen's Law Journal, and Sponsorship Chair of the 2016 Orientation Committee.
Prior to attending law school, Irene received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
