Paula leverages her extensive advocacy and dispute resolution experience to assist public expropriating authorities and landowners facing expropriation across Ontario. Paula was personally expropriated, providing her with a unique perspective as an expropriation lawyer.
For over 25 years, Paula honed her advocacy skills as a partner in a large Bay Street firm. Paula advocated on behalf of both public and private sector clients in a wide range of disputes and proceedings, including civil actions, administrative and human rights matters and regulatory proceedings. She has successfully acted as lead counsel at all levels of court in Ontario and before a number of administrative tribunals.
Paula obtained her LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School. She completed her LL.M in 2014. Prior to attending law school, Paula completed her B.A. (Combined Honours: English, History) (summa cum laude) and her B. Ed. Paula’s first career was as a teacher of English, History and Law at a prestigious Toronto-area independent girls school. It was teaching Law that precipitated Paula’s decision to go to law school.
